Charlie has attended his first show (MHCGB Spring Show) we couldn't be more proud, these were big classes, as expected, and he more than held his own under the British and American Judges.
He achieved a 1st in AMHA colt, 1st in Ultra Mini, 2nd in yearling colt and 3rd in another colour (any age) !!
Handled very capably by David & Lucy from Supreme Dream.
At his next show, he achieved a second in the yearling class.
Sun 4th May, a fantastic result achieving a 1st place (13 entries) at Leceister Show, in yearling colts.
A big thank you to Jill Jones for all she's done for Charlie to achieve these results.

Welcome to my home page, thank you for your interest in Miniature Horses, they are highly addictable creatures !! Over the years we have diversified our bloodlines, to endeaver to breed a conformational correct horse in miniature. The type is entirely your own personal taste, as any 'horse' type is permitted from refined to draft. Recent progress has seen the start of new miniature horse clubs, giving the miniature horse owner even more scope to allow their mini's talents to be shown, from halter, jumping and driving to name a few. The section 'B' heights are also catered for in various classes, even more importantly quality geldings are been given just rewards by societies, running gelding incentives and promoting that they are still a valuable asset to any stud. At Glenhollow you will see we are very much leading the way with our quality geldings Snowman, Elvis and Pacos. We hope others will follow suit, as there is really little need for the quanity of sub standard colts being left entire.
Ireland has long been associated with breeding horses and the miniatures are still relatively new, but increditably popular. Miniatures stem from a range of breeds 'thrown into the pot', but basically they are a height breed, with type of animal secondary. The oldest registry for the miniatures in the U.K is the British Miniature Horse Society, which operated an 'open' book for many years. The book is now closed, so only stock pre-registered now qualify to have progeny registered to the society. There is still a facility for hardshipping but it is expensive, to allow only those with worthy characteristics to make the effort.

Other societys also provide a registration and passport facility, but if you are interested in purchasing a miniature, please check paperwork is valid and up to date. A miniature bred from a long line of stock will not have any 'gaps' in the pedigree. Be sure the horse lives up to what you have been told to justify the price being charged. Remember all foals are cute, if you want to know how a miniature will look grown, either buy a mature animal or view the sire and dam. Of course then the responsability will be yours for proper feeding, worming etc. to get the best from your mini. NOT all will be champions, so buy according to your future plans !
